Pakistani Songs Removed from Spotify and Other Platforms in India Following Govt Ban
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

India has advised OTT and streaming platforms to remove content made in Pakistan or featuring Pakistani artists. This decision was made under the country’s IT Rules and is based on concerns related to national security.

This action follows rising tensions in the region and is meant to make sure digital media supports the country’s national interests. The Indian government wants all online content to reflect its policies and concerns, especially in times of political or regional conflict.

Streaming platforms are now expected to follow these instructions strictly. This means that viewers in India may no longer be able to access many songs, dramas, or movies that feature Pakistani artists.

While this move has sparked mixed reactions, the government believes it is necessary to protect national unity and maintain control over media that reaches the public. The situation may continue to evolve depending on future developments in the region.
