A Pakistani trade delegation, led by FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh, visited Bangladesh for the first time in 12 years to improve economic relations and encourage investment between the two countries.
The delegation, which included FPCCI Senior Vice President Saqib Fyaz Magoo, held discussions with Bangladeshi officials about trade opportunities and ways to strengthen economic collaboration.
Both sides expressed their commitment to building a strong partnership and boosting mutual trade.
One key development during the visit was the easing of visa conditions. Bangladesh’s decision to simplify the visa process for Pakistanis was welcomed, and the delegation suggested introducing long-term visas for Pakistani businesspeople.
Pakistan has also relaxed its visa rules for Bangladeshi nationals, which is expected to support closer economic ties.
Bangladesh’s Commerce Minister, Sheikh Bashiruddin, emphasized the importance of working together to increase trade and industrial cooperation. Both nations agreed to focus on joint economic initiatives to explore new opportunities for growth and development.
The visit highlighted the shared vision of Pakistan and Bangladesh to strengthen their economic ties and create long-term benefits for both countries. With improved visa policies and a focus on joint ventures, the relationship between the two nations is set to enter a new phase of collaboration.
