Pakistan’s young squash talent, Ashab Irfan, has made the country proud by winning his first major international title at the St. Louis Open 2025. The 20-year-old star defeated England’s Charlie Lee in a straight-set win, showing great skill and control throughout the match.

Ashab took just 37 minutes to finish the game, winning with set scores of 11-7, 11-2, and 11-7. His strong performance left no chance for his opponent to make a comeback. The win was not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for Pakistani squash fans, who are hoping to see their country rise again in the sport.

Before the tournament, Ashab was ranked 66th in the PSA (Professional Squash Association) World Rankings. After this victory, he is expected to move up into the top 60, which will open more doors for him in upcoming international tournaments.

Ashab’s coach, Irfan Jahanzeb Masood, shared his excitement and pride. He praised Ashab’s hard work, discipline, and commitment, saying that this win is an important step forward in his career. He also mentioned that it’s a big moment for Pakistan’s squash community, which has been waiting for new stars to carry forward the country’s rich legacy in the sport.

This win marks the beginning of what could be a very successful journey for Ashab Irfan. With the right guidance and continuous effort, he has the potential to become one of the top players in the world. Fans and experts alike are now watching closely to see what he achieves next.
