Pakistan’s Biggest Brand? PCB to Earn Rs 8.67 Billion Annually from PSL Franchises

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has firmly positioned itself as Pakistan’s biggest sporting brand, both in popularity and commercial value. With massive television ratings, global digital reach, and sold-out stadiums, the league has evolved into a flagship property for Pakistan cricket. Its consistent growth, star power, and strong fan engagement have transformed PSL into more than just a tournament—it is now a national brand that drives sponsorships, advertising revenue, and international visibility for the country’s sports economy.

Reflecting this growth, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to earn Rs 8.67 billion annually from PSL franchises under revised financial arrangements. The increase highlights the league’s rising valuation and long-term sustainability as a commercial product. For the PCB, this revenue stream provides financial stability, supports domestic cricket development, and strengthens Pakistan’s position in the global cricketing landscape, further cementing PSL’s status as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s sports industry.
