The Punjab government has taken an important step toward improving environmental awareness by launching EcoBot, Pakistan’s first AI-powered eco-chatbot.

This smart digital assistant has been designed to give people real-time information about air quality and offer easy-to-understand guidance to protect their health.

EcoBot can be accessed through WhatsApp by scanning a QR code, making it simple for anyone to use. People can ask questions in both English and Urdu, allowing the chatbot to share Air Quality Index (AQI) levels, health recommendations, and short awareness messages.

Right now, EcoBot provides updates for major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Multan. However, the government has announced that new features will soon be added.

These updates will cover noise pollution levels, waste management guidelines, and even an option for citizens to report environmental violations directly through the chatbot.

This initiative is expected to create a stronger connection between citizens and environmental agencies, helping communities work together for a cleaner and greener future.
