Alishba Khan Barech, a talented young writer from Nushki, Balochistan, has been selected as a finalist for the 2025 Women Changing the World Awards in the Young Woman of the Year category. She was chosen from 751 nominations for her outstanding work in writing, advocacy, and youth empowerment.

Alishba has achieved incredible milestones at a very young age. She became Pakistan’s youngest novelist at just 11 years old, wrote a memoir at 14, and self-published a book by 16. Through her writing, she is changing the way people see her region and inspiring other young people to share their stories.

Beyond writing, Alishba is deeply involved in social causes. She has worked as an ambassador for UNICEF Pakistan, where she raised awareness about polio eradication, mental health, and youth issues. She has also been associated with the Quetta Gladiators, using her platform to promote positive change.

Alishba’s achievements show that age is no barrier to making a difference. She is setting an example for young people in Pakistan and beyond, proving that passion and dedication can lead to remarkable success. Her journey is not just about personal achievements—it’s about empowering others, breaking stereotypes, and building a better future.

With this global recognition, Alishba continues to inspire and lead the way for young changemakers around the world.
