Sialkot, Pakistan, is known worldwide for producing almost 70% of all soccer balls. The city has a long history of manufacturing sports equipment and continues to play a major role in the global sports industry. The factories in Sialkot even supplied soccer balls for the FIFA World Cup 2022, along with millions of replicas sold to fans worldwide.

According to the local Chamber of Commerce, Sialkot produced over 43 million soccer balls in the 2021-22 period, generating $191 million in revenue. The demand for Pakistani-made footballs has also increased significantly. In the first six months of the 2022-23 financial year, exports grew by 53.58%.

These figures highlight Pakistan’s strong presence in the sports manufacturing industry, competing with major global players like India and China. Sialkot remains the country’s largest producer of sports goods, with its products exported to many countries worldwide.

The city’s skilled workforce and high-quality craftsmanship have made it a key player in international sports markets. Despite challenges, Sialkot continues to innovate and maintain its reputation as a leader in soccer ball production.

With its growing exports and commitment to quality, Sialkot’s contribution to the global sports industry remains unmatched. The city not only boosts Pakistan’s economy but also strengthens its position as a trusted name in sports equipment manufacturing.
