PCB has sent a legal notice to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for breaking his contract with the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Bosch was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category for PSL 2025 but chose to join the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) instead.
The 30-year-old cricketer is set to replace injured Lizaad Williams in the Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2025, which will take place from March 22 to May 25. The PCB has asked Bosch to explain his decision and warned of possible consequences for not honoring his PSL commitment.
Although Bosch has never played in the IPL before, he was previously a reserve player for the Rajasthan Royals. He gained experience with the Mumbai Indians franchise through his strong performances in the SA20 league, where he played for MI Cape Town and took 11 wickets in seven matches.
If his move to Mumbai Indians is confirmed, Bosch will reunite with his SA20 teammate Ryan Rickelton. His addition is expected to strengthen Mumbai’s all-rounder options for the upcoming IPL season.
The situation has raised discussions about player commitments and league contracts. While some believe players should have the freedom to choose their opportunities, others argue that honoring signed contracts is crucial for maintaining fairness in professional cricket.
