Pakistanis are preparing for another increase in petrol and diesel prices in the second half of July. According to local media reports, petrol and diesel prices are expected to rise again starting July 16.

The price of petrol is anticipated to increase by around Rs7.68 per liter, while diesel is expected to go up by Rs3.72 per liter. These new prices will be in effect for the next two weeks.

With the implementation of the new rates, petrol will cost Rs273.29 per liter, and diesel will be priced at Rs281.17 per liter. This follows a recent price hike in the last fortnight’s review, where the government increased the price of petrol by Rs7.45 per liter, setting it at Rs265.61 per liter.

These consecutive price hikes are adding to the financial burden on the people of Pakistan, as they brace for the impact on their daily expenses and overall cost of living. The rising fuel costs are expected to affect transportation costs and potentially lead to higher prices for goods and services across the country.
