The Prime Minister’s Adviser on Privatisation, Muhammad Ali, has clarified that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is not being sold at the price of one or two aircraft. He made this statement in response to reports in the media that he described as misleading and incorrect.

He explained that such claims do not reflect the true value or structure of the deal and are creating unnecessary confusion among the public. According to him, these reports are inaccurate and give a false impression about the government’s approach to PIA’s privatization.

Muhammad Ali assured that the government is following a transparent, well-planned, and structured process for the privatization of the national airline. He said that all steps are being taken carefully, with proper oversight, to ensure fairness and accountability throughout the process.

The adviser also highlighted that the government is working to clearly communicate the details of the privatization plan so that misunderstandings can be avoided. He stressed that national interests and the country’s economic stability are being fully considered and protected in all decisions related to PIA.
