Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the creation of the Danish University of Applied and Emerging Sciences in Islamabad. The university will be funded with £190 million that was transferred from the UK’s National Cr_ime Agency (NCA) to Pakistan. He thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan for making sure the funds were smoothly transferred.

The goal of the university is to provide high-quality, research-based education to talented students. The Prime Minister has instructed officials to quickly complete all legal processes, acquire land in Sector H-16, and hire top faculty members to ensure the best education standards. The university will be managed under the Danish Trust, which will help it remain financially independent.

In addition to the university, the government plans to expand Daanish Schools to more areas, including Gilgit, Bagh, Neelum Valley, and Karachi. These schools aim to provide quality education to deserving students across Pakistan.

A meeting was held to discuss these initiatives, with key ministers and officials in attendance. The government is committed to strengthening the education sector by providing better learning opportunities for students.

This move is expected to improve higher education in Pakistan and give students access to modern research and technology.
