Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the efforts of all provincial chief ministers, as well as the regional leaders of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, for ensuring that Ashura was observed peacefully throughout Pakistan.

He also acknowledged the important role played by law enforcement agencies and appreciated Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for his strong coordination and detailed security planning, which helped maintain peace and order during the religious gatherings.

Ashura, which holds deep significance in Islamic history, was observed with great respect and seriousness. People across the country paid tribute to the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, remembering their courage and unwavering stand for truth and justice.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to all those involved in making the occasion safe and peaceful for everyone.
