Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to travel to Egypt on Monday to take part in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, a major diplomatic gathering focused on promoting peace in the Middle East.

During his visit, he will also participate in the signing ceremony of a peace agreement aimed at resolving the ongoing humanitarian and security crisis in Gaza.

The invitation to attend the summit was extended jointly by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump, highlighting Pakistan’s growing role in international peace efforts.

The summit will bring together world leaders, diplomats, and representatives from several countries to discuss strategies for long-term regional stability and humanitarian relief.

According to official sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to emphasize Pakistan’s consistent position on peace, justice, and the protection of innocent civilians in conflict zones.

He will reaffirm Pakistan’s support for all diplomatic initiatives that encourage dialogue, cooperation, and coexistence among nations.

The Sharm El-Sheikh Summit is regarded as a critical step toward easing regional tensions, particularly amid ongoing violence and displacement in Gaza. The signing of the peace agreement is seen as a hopeful move toward ending years of unrest and promoting mutual understanding among conflicting parties.

The Prime Minister’s visit also reflects Pakistan’s broader commitment to global peacebuilding and humanitarian diplomacy.

Officials say the trip underscores Islamabad’s readiness to work with international partners to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development across the Middle East and beyond.
