PMD Rejects Possibility of Coldest Winter in Pakistan this Year

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has officially dismissed these claims, saying there’s absolutely no scientific evidence to back them up.

Social media and word-of-mouth can spread all sorts of predictions, especially when it comes to the weather. But the Met Office wants everyone to know that the viral claims about an extremely harsh winter are simply not true.

According to their official forecast, Pakistan is actually expected to have a relatively mild winter season this year.

Here’s what the PMD is actually predicting: The country will likely see below-normal rainfall during the winter months from December through February. Instead of record-breaking cold, Pakistan should experience mild winter waves caused by western winds.

These are the normal weather patterns that we typically see during this time of year, nothing extreme or unusual.

The meteorological department is urging people to rely on verified forecasts from official sources rather than getting caught up in unsubstantiated reports floating around on social media or through unofficial channels.

When it comes to weather predictions, scientific data and proper analysis matter more than sensational claims.

So if you were planning to stock up on extra blankets or worried about freezing temperatures, the PMD says there’s no need for alarm.

This winter should be fairly normal by Pakistani standards, without any record-breaking cold spells on the horizon.
