PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed his hopes for Pakistan’s victory in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. He stated that hosting the tournament is a proud moment for the country and wished for the national team’s success.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Lahore, Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan is a safe venue for international sports events. He also praised Dutch hockey coach Fareed Ahmed and Khawaja Junaid for their contributions to the sport’s development.

Naqvi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting hockey alongside cricket. He acknowledged that hockey, once Pakistan’s pride, has lost its former status and stressed the need to revive it. He assured that efforts would continue to strengthen both cricket and hockey in the country.

The Dutch ambassador appreciated Naqvi’s dedication to promoting sports and fostering sports diplomacy between Pakistan and the Netherlands. The event highlighted the growing relationship between the two countries in the field of sports.

As Pakistan prepares to host the ICC Champions Trophy, Naqvi’s remarks reflect his confidence in the national team and his vision for the country’s sports future.
