Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has started his official foreign tour today with a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia. His trip to the Kingdom comes as part of efforts to strengthen ties with one of Pakistan’s closest partners and to hold important discussions on regional and international issues.

During his stay in Riyadh, the Prime Minister will meet Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. The two leaders are expected to review bilateral relations, discuss ways to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, and energy, and share views on issues concerning the Muslim Ummah.

Religious, political, and security matters will also likely be on the agenda. While in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to perform Umrah in Makkah, an act of devotion that holds deep significance for Muslims around the world.

After completing his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister will travel to London. There, he will meet with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to hold internal consultations on party matters and upcoming political strategies.

His international trip will then continue to the United States, where he will attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York. He is expected to address global leaders on Pakistan’s stance regarding key international challenges, including climate change, regional peace, and economic development.

During his stay in the US, Prime Minister Shehbaz is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with world leaders, including US President Donald Trump. These meetings are seen as crucial for enhancing diplomatic relations and cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.
