Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again commented on the recent Pakistan-India tensions, claiming that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally thanked him for preventing a major crisis.

According to Trump, the call came after the May conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, during which regional tensions were at their highest in years.

Speaking at a public event in the United States, Trump said the Pakistani Prime Minister told him he had “saved millions of lives” by helping reduce pressure and encouraging dialogue at a critical moment. Trump did not share specific details but maintained that his intervention played a central role in avoiding a dangerous escalation.

The former president also repeated his long-standing claim that he has been able to resolve global disputes by using economic pressure, especially tariffs, as a tool to push countries toward negotiation.

He praised Pakistan’s leadership for cooperating during the tense period, highlighting the importance of strong diplomatic ties.

At the same time, Trump sharply criticized Joe Biden’s foreign policy, arguing that the world has become more unstable under the current U.S. administration.

He also expressed disappointment with Russia’s approach to the war in Ukraine, saying major powers should work toward peace, not division.

Trump’s remarks have attracted significant attention, especially in South Asia, where talk of foreign mediation often sparks debate.
