PTA-Approved iPhone 15 Prices Drop in Pakistan

The prices of PTA-approved Apple iPhone 15 models in Pakistan have seen another reduction, marking the second price cut in less than two months. This makes the sought-after smartphone more affordable for consumers.

Apple does not have an official retail presence in Pakistan, and therefore, the prices for iPhone 15 models are not standardized. Various retailers and companies import and sell these models with local and international warranties.

This often leads to confusion about the actual cost of Apple products. Nonetheless, Mercantile, a prominent distributor in Pakistan often considered as “Apple’s distributor,” has now slashed the prices of all PTA-approved iPhone 15 models.

The new prices for the iPhone 15 start at Rs 323,000 for the 128 GB variant and rise to Rs 621,100 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max (1 TB). The iPhone 15 Pro (128 GB) is now available for Rs 404,700.

Just a few months ago, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB) was priced above Rs 550,000 in the Pakistani market, but it is now offered at Rs 476,500 with a local warranty.

This decrease in prices can be attributed to a few factors. Importers initially faced challenges in attracting buyers due to the high prices, which led some consumers to consider non-PTA approved phones. Furthermore, with the expected release of the iPhone 16 on the horizon, retailers and distributors are lowering prices to clear out existing stock. The new model is anticipated to be launched in less than five months.

The price cuts provide an opportunity for consumers in Pakistan to purchase the iPhone 15 at a more affordable rate, just before the next big release from Apple. These reductions are intended to alleviate some of the financial pressure on Pakistani consumers and help reduce inflation, offering significant economic relief.

For tech enthusiasts in Pakistan, this news is particularly welcome as it presents a chance to buy the latest Apple device at a more reasonable price. As the market braces for the introduction of the iPhone 16, now is an ideal time for buyers to take advantage of the lower prices and acquire the iPhone 15.
