The Punjab government has announced that it will take strict action against anyone who breaks the one-dish rule at weddings or plays loud music without permission.

In a meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, all commissioners and deputy commissioners were told to make sure the one-dish rule is followed at every wedding across the province. She also instructed officials to act firmly against loud music and the illegal use of loudspeakers at farmhouses, marriage halls, lawns, and open-air venues.

The meeting also approved regular monitoring of wedding hall timings to make sure events end on time. Officials stressed that the one-dish policy applies to all locations without exception, as the goal is to maintain discipline, reduce noise pollution, and prevent unnecessary disturbance to the public.
