LAHORE: Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, held a meeting with a 20-member global business delegation from the United States of America, Malaysia, Qatar, Norway, South Korea and Canada at the Punjab Assembly Chamber.
During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on the promotion of global trade relations, available investment opportunities and the strengthening of business-to-business linkages. The delegation comprised prominent industrialists and investors from various countries.
While addressing the delegation, the Speaker stated that Punjab is providing a friendly and conducive environment for global investors. Emphasizing business partnerships, promotion of investment and effective coordination, he said that Pakistan is fully prepared to take its global trade relations to new heights.
The Speaker apprised the delegation of business challenges, governmental reforms and the measures being undertaken to facilitate investment. He further stated that the immediate and effective resolution of issues faced by the global business community is an urgent necessity of the time. He added that the Pakistani diaspora within the global business community is playing the role of a strong bridge between different countries.
The global business delegation expressed keen interest in investment opportunities in Punjab and termed the governmental reforms as encouraging. Members of the delegation stated that the business-friendly environment and effective policies in Punjab are contributing to enhanced confidence among global investors.
The delegation also expressed willingness to engage in future joint ventures and long-term business partnerships with the Punjab Government and the Punjab Assembly.
