On Monday, various parts of the country experienced precipitation of varying intensity for the second consecutive day, due to the ongoing impact of a surface air depression, accompanied by an upper-atmospheric air high.
The precipitation was observed in Malakat, Masaken, and scattered areas within Al Ain, as well as on disparate parts of the eastern coastline. In Ghilan and Al Rams in Ras Al Khaimah, the intensity was moderate, while the lowest temperature was recorded in the country on Monday was 19.3°C in Jabal Mabrah in Ras Al Khaimah at 07:00 am, as reported by the National Centre for meteorology (NCM).
The NCM also forecast that the weather on Tuesday would be clear to partly cloudy, with the potential for the formation of cumulus clouds in the eastern and southern parts, which may be accompanied by precipitation. Additionally, winds are anticipated to blow from the southeast to northeast, reaching speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, with occasional gusts up to 35 km/h. The sea is expected to be calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
In regard to Wednesday’s weather, the NCM has forecast that conditions will be clear to partly cloudy, particularly in the eastern areas, with the possibility of precipitation at night and on Thursday morning in coastal and inland areas. Winds are expected to be southwesterly to northeasterly, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, and sea conditions are anticipated to be light in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The NCM also stated that the weather on Thursday would be typically clear, with occasional partial cloud cover, and humidity at night and on Friday morning. The potential for fog or light fog to form in some coastal and inland areas is also a possibility. Winds are southeasterly to northwesterly, with speeds ranging from light to moderate. The speed of winds over the sea is sometimes active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 up to 40 km/h. The sea will be light to medium waves, which may disturb the west on Friday morning in the Arabian Gulf and light waves in the Sea of Oman.
In regard to the weather forecast for Friday, the NCM has forecast that the day will be characterised by a general absence of cloud cover, with the potential for partial cloudiness. Humidity levels are expected to reach their peak overnight and in the early hours of Saturday morning. There is a possibility of fog or light fog forming in some inland regions. Winds are expected to be southwesterly to northwesterly in direction and of a moderate to low speed, with a notable activity on the sea. The speed of these winds is expected to reach 15 to 25 km/h. The sea is expected to exhibit medium to high waves in the Arabian Gulf and light to medium waves in the Sea of Oman.
