Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Nigehban Ramadan Package to support low-income families during the holy month of Ramadan. Under this program, 4.2 million deserving families will receive Rs 10,000 in cash to help them manage their daily household expenses and prepare for Ramadan with ease.

Eligible families will be given special Nigehban Cards, which will be delivered directly to their homes to make the process simple and convenient. To help people activate and use these cards, the government has set up 136 activation centres across Punjab, along with access through Bank of Punjab ATMs. A modern monitoring dashboard has also been introduced to ensure transparency, including verification calls to cardholders so that the assistance reaches the right people.

In addition to cash support, the program includes “Maryam ke Mehman” centres, where free iftar meals will be served daily to those in need. Other relief initiatives such as CM Ration Cards, Nigehban Dastarkhwan, and Sasta Bazaars are also part of the wider plan to provide affordable food and basic necessities during Ramadan. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the goal is to make Ramadan easier, more meaningful, and supportive for struggling families across Punjab.
