The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, has announced the seizure and impounding of 39 vehicles that participated in an unlicensed march in the Mina Al Arab area, reaching one of the emirate’s tourist mountains, late last Friday evening.
In details, a report received by the Traffic and Patrols Department from Ras Al Khaimah Police Operations Room at 11:30 pm on Friday.
The report indicated that vehicles had organised and participated in a march without obtaining the necessary licences and permissions from the competent authorities.
In consequence, the vehicles in question were subjected to tracking and monitoring, and the requisite measures were taken against them. They were seized and impounded. Two of these vehicles were driven in a manner that endangered the lives of their drivers and other individuals, RAK Police said.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has emphasised its commitment to monitoring and enforcing compliance with applicable traffic regulations and laws. In order to protect the lives and safety of road users, the Command will impose severe penalties on those who violate these regulations and laws. The Command has also called on the driving public to comply with the relevant legislation and to refrain from engaging in any illegal behaviours that may endanger themselves or others.
