Lahore faced unprecedented rainfall today, with a total of 315 mm recorded, breaking a 30-year-old record and leading to significant flooding throughout the city. Muhammad Ghufran, the Managing Director of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), confirmed that this historic downpour was especially heavy in the Tajpura area.

The Meteorological Office has warned that more rain is expected within the next 24 hours, raising concerns about the possibility of additional flooding in already affected areas.

This heavy rainfall has not only impacted Lahore but has also caused difficulties in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other regions of Punjab, creating further challenges for local residents.

Many people are struggling with waterlogged streets, disrupted transportation, and damaged property as a result of the storms.

The government and relevant agencies are working to address the situation, but the ongoing weather conditions complicate their efforts. Residents are urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions as they prepare for more rain in the coming days.
