The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced that it achieved record-breaking recoveries during the first half of 2025, bringing back a total of Rs547 billion. Out of this amount, Rs456 billion was recovered in just three months, between April and June, according to a report by The News.

In the last two years alone, NAB has managed to recover assets worth Rs5,854.73 billion, which include both movable and immovable properties. A significant portion of these recovered funds has been returned to people who were victims of fraud, with 12,611 individuals receiving their money back.

The bureau’s mid-year report for 2025 highlights its strong efforts in fighting corruption and protecting public money. It also points out that the amount recovered so far in 2025 represents a massive 700% increase compared to the total recoveries since the organization was first established.
