Renowned Pakistani athlete Abdul Rashid has passed away after suffering a heart attack in Mian Channu, Punjab. His death has deeply saddened the sports community, as he was known for his remarkable achievements and dedication to athletics.

Abdul Rashid was a respected Olympian who proudly represented Pakistan at major international events. He was part of the national team that won a gold medal at the 2004 SAF Games. Later, he competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where he gained recognition for his strong performance in the 110-meter hurdles. His talent, discipline, and passion for sports made him an inspiration for many young athletes.

Family members, coaches, and fellow sportsmen confirmed the heartbreaking news. They expressed their grief and remembered Rashid as a hardworking and humble person who always gave his best for his country. His contribution to athletics and his role in uplifting Pakistan’s name on the global stage will always be honored.

This tragedy comes just one day after the death of another former Olympian, hockey player Farooq Ahmad Khan, who was a member of the team at the 1968 Mexico Olympics. Losing two respected athletes in such a short time has been a heavy emotional blow for the nation and its sporting community.
