RS. 10,000 Reward Announced for Reporting illegal Afghan Residents in Punjab

Punjab has started a large operation against Afghan nationals living in the province without proper legal documents. As part of the new plan, the government has announced a reward of Rs10,000 for anyone who provides information about undocumented Afghan residents.

The purpose of this reward is to encourage the public to report individuals who are staying in the province illegally or using fake identity papers.

According to officials, the campaign focuses on several categories of violations. These include Afghan nationals living without valid paperwork, people using fake or tampered CNICs, and individuals running businesses without legal permission. Authorities have made it clear that anyone helping such activities will also face consequences.

Police officers have assured the public that the identity of every informer will remain completely confidential. This step is meant to build trust so that people feel safe when sharing information.

In addition, strict action will be taken against landlords, property owners, and shopkeepers who rent or lease their spaces to Afghan residents without checking their documents. The government believes that this cooperation is important to ensure the success of the crackdown.

Officials say that the number of arrests has increased significantly in recent weeks. Many Afghan nationals have been detained, while others have been deported for not having the required legal status to stay in Pakistan.

The authorities hope that introducing a reward system will make the operation faster and more effective.
