Sameer Minhas produced a historic and unforgettable performance in the Under-19 Asia Cup, putting his name firmly into the record books with an exceptional batting display. The young Pakistani batter showed great skill, confidence, and maturity throughout the tournament, proving why he is considered one of the brightest talents in junior cricket.

During the competition, Sameer Minhas broke a long-standing record that had remained unbeaten for 13 years. The previous record was held by Sami Aslam, who scored 461 runs in the 2012 Under-19 Asia Cup. Minhas went past that mark with authority, finishing the tournament with an impressive total of 471 runs, making him the highest run-scorer of the event.

His most memorable performance came in the final against arch-rivals India. In a high-pressure match, Minhas played a stunning innings of 172 runs off just 113 balls. His aggressive yet controlled batting completely dominated the Indian bowling attack and played a major role in Pakistan’s commanding victory in the final.

This remarkable knock was not only crucial for Pakistan’s success but also set another record. The score of 172 is now the highest individual score ever made by a Under-19 batter against India, highlighting the significance of his achievement on such a big stage.

Due to his consistent performances and match-winning contribution, Sameer Minhas was deservedly named Player of the Tournament. His efforts throughout the Asia Cup showcased his potential to become a key player for Pakistan in the future and raised hopes among cricket fans for the next generation of national stars.
