The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has started the second phase for receiving applications for Haj 2026.

This phase will run from August 11 to 16 and is open to people who were not registered in the first phase. Applicants can submit their forms through the ministry’s online portal or at designated banks.

Overseas Pakistanis can also apply through close relatives in Pakistan. They will need to submit their medical fitness certificates after they arrive in the country.

In the first phase, the ministry received over 71,000 applications. Pakistan’s total quota for Haj 2026 is 179,210 pilgrims. Two types of packages are available — the standard package, which lasts 38 to 42 days, and the shorter package, which is 20 to 25 days.

The estimated cost for the pilgrimage ranges between Rs. 1.15 million and Rs. 1.25 million. However, the final cost will be confirmed after agreements are made with service providers in Saudi Arabia.

The Haj is one of the most important religious journeys for Muslims, and the ministry is working to make the process easier and more transparent. By introducing an online application system and involving banks, it aims to ensure a smooth experience for all applicants.

This year’s arrangements are designed to provide flexibility, allowing more people — including those living abroad to take part in the pilgrimage. The phased approach also helps manage the large number of applicants more effectively, ensuring that all steps, from registration to travel, are organized and efficient.
