Shaheer Mehkari joins WPP Media as Regional Investment Director

June 22, 2025 — Experienced media professional Shaheer Mehkari has joined WPP Media as Regional Investment Director, a major career move he announced via LinkedIn.

With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Shaheer began his journey in 2005 as an intern at Circuit Draft FCB. Since then, he has built a strong portfolio working with top-tier organizations such as Engro, BP, Mindshare, GroupM, Telenor, and most recently, EssenceMediacom, where he served as Regional Investment Director for APAC.

Shaheer is known for launching some of the biggest media campaigns, particularly in the FMCG sector, and has extensive experience managing multi-market investments. His strength lies in combining strategic insight with sharp execution for global brands.

At WPP, Shaheer is now taking on one of his most exciting roles yet—managing investments across the APAC region for what is being termed as WPP’s biggest global win to date. His role will focus on media trading, pricing strategies, pitching, digital marketing, and media planning at a strategic level.

He holds two MBAs—one in Marketing from IoBM (2012) and another in International Marketing from Alliance Manchester Business School (2013).

With specialties ranging from client servicing to media buying and strategy development, Shaheer is regarded as a media thought leader with a results-driven mindset.
