Shahzaib Rind, the newly crowned World Karate Combat Light Heavyweight Champion, received a warm and grand welcome when he returned to Pakistan from Singapore late Saturday night.
At Islamabad International Airport, he was met with cheers and applause from a large group of fans who had gathered to celebrate his victory. Among those welcoming him were high-ranking officials, including Secretary of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, Nadeem Irshad Kayani, and Additional Secretary Zahoor Ahmed. Deputy Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Shahid Islam, along with representatives from the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, were also present to congratulate him. Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, the former Deputy Mayor of Islamabad, also joined in to greet Shahzaib.
It was a proud moment for the nation, as everyone celebrated Shahzaib’s remarkable achievement and the honor he brought to Pakistan with his victory.
