The firefighting teams of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority were able to successfully extinguish a vehicle fire that occurred on Monday on a main road in the Industrial Area, preventing any injuries.
The Sharjah Police General Command’s operations room received a report at approximately 7:30 am on Monday morning that a small vehicle had caught fire in the middle of the main road in the Industrial Area.
In response, civil defence vehicles, police patrols, and the National Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
The Civil Defence team promptly initiated fire suppression measures and were able to successfully extinguish the fire within two minutes of arrival at the scene.
They then proceeded to cool the fire site to prevent the rekindling of flames while facilitating removal of the vehicle to ensure the safety of the surrounding traffic.
The Civil Defence Authority in Sharjah calls on the public to undertake regular maintenance of their vehicles, with particular emphasis on the summer period. The appeal also urges vehicle owners to ensure that their vehicles undergo the requisite checks and that fire extinguishers are readily available. Furthermore, drivers are urged to exercise caution and to adhere to safety guidelines in order to prevent vehicle fires.
