Sheikh Mohammed promotes 6,025 military personnel in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued decisions to promote 6,025 military personnel working in Dubai military entities.
The promotions included cadres of Dubai Police and Dubai’s State Security Department, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA) and General Directorate of Civil Defence in Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed issued decision no. 33 for 2024 promoting Major General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai’s State Security Department, to the rank of Lieutenant General.
The decision will take effect from July 1, 2024 and will be published in the Official Gazette.According to the decisions, 4,219 Dubai Police personnel will be promoted, 33 will be promoted and pensioned off and 24 will be pensioned off, bringing the total to 4,276 military personnel working at Dubai Police.
As many as 548 GDRFA cadres will also be promoted including five to be promoted and pensioned off and three to be pensioned off, bringing the total to 556 military personnel working for the GDRFA.
As for Dubai’s State Security Department, 783 military personnel will be promoted, 19 will be promoted and pensioned off and one will be pensioned off, bringing the total to 803 military personnel.
As many as 387 military personnel working in the General Directorate of Civil Defence in Dubai will be promoted, while 60 of its military personnel will be promoted and pensioned off and 28 military personnel will be pensioned off, bringing the total to 390 military personnel.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, stressed that the continuous development of the security system comes in light of the sound directives and constant motivation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the continuous follow-up of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
