His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the launch of a programme to qualify and train job seekers registered with Sharjah Department of Human Resources and to pay Dhs6,000 monthly to everyone who joins the programme, which will start next Monday  (Aug.12, 2024).
This was announced by Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Human Resources, in a conversation with Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, via the Direct Line programme.
“Some 1,815 job seekers are scheduled to join the programme including 500 from Sharjah City, 400 from Khorfakkan, 400 from Kalba, 200 from Dibba Al Hisn, 300 from the Central Region and 15 from Al Hamriyah,” he said.
The programme is being carried out in co-ordination with specialised bodies including the University of Sharjah and other universities in all cities across of the emirate, he added, noting that the qualification takes three months, and so does the field training for job seekers in government entities.
“Job seekers will follow training programmes as per their specialisations to enable them to gain the required experience that will qualify them to take up jobs in all enterprises in the emirate,” he said.
Al Zaabi explained that the programme includes job seekers with various academic qualifications, stressing Sheikh Sultan’s interest in employing them to be able to create stable and cohesive families.
