His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has instructed the Initiatives Implementation Authority “Mubadara” to expedite the provision of alternative premises for the businesses affected by a fire at the Sharia Market in the city of Al Dhaid on Thursday.
The directive specifies that these alternative stores should be established within three days, complete with full furnishings, equipment, and air-conditioning.
Sharjah Ruler has issued an order for the swift construction of a new market comprising over 60 permanent commercial stores made of concrete. This new market aims to replace the previous one, which was constructed of palm leaves and consisted of only 16 stores.
Additionally, Sheikh Sultan has mandated the relocation of the affected store owners to the new market and has instructed for them to be compensated for their losses with substantial financial sums. This directive was communicated during the “Direct Line” program, broadcast on Sharjah Radio.
