In the historic city of Rabat, where the legacies of scholarship still echo through ancient halls, Pakistan was hailed as a beacon of hope and leadership for the Muslim world. At the 6th Vice Chancellors’ Forum of Universities in the Islamic World, global academic leaders rose in admiration—not for mere words, but for a vision that is being turned into action.

Vice Chancellors at the Forum cited Pakistan’s Uraan Pakistan as a model to replicate—a framework that integrates education with inclusive development and innovation. But the louder applause came not from a single moment—but from the collective endorsement of Vice Chancellors, scholars, and education leaders from across continents who saw in Pakistan a rising force of transformation.

Appreciating Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal’s contributions he was hailed as

“A true architect of Pakistan’s resilient, knowledge-powered future,”, echoing what the global community acknowledged: that Pakistan’s shift toward a knowledge economy is not rhetoric—it is reform.

Minister Prof. Ahsan Iqbal’s address was a powerful call to the Islamic Ummah to revive the Qur’anic ethic of inquiry—rooted in Iqra—to face the disruptive forces of AI, climate change, and global competition. He laid out Pakistan’s bold journey:

  • A 58% increase in public universities (from 99 to 154)
  • A 47% growth in student enrolment
  • The launch of Quantum Valley Pakistan
  • Centres of Excellence in AI, Robotics, Quantum Tech, and Genomics

Furthermore his powerful quoting of Allama Iqbal struck a chord:

“At the break of dawn, a voice rises from the heavens:
How did you lose your gift of insight and reason?”

In Rabat, it was clear: Pakistan is answering that question—not with regret, but with resolve.
