The Sindh government has introduced a new e-taxi program aimed at creating job opportunities for the province’s youth. Sharjeel Memon, the Information Minister, shared that this initiative will allow young people to own and operate e-taxis through a subsidized scheme.

The cost of the electric vehicles will be split between the government, banks, and the participants themselves.

This program aims to empower young individuals by providing them with the chance to become self-reliant. It also seeks to address the rising need for modern, eco-friendly transportation while offering sustainable employment opportunities in the growing e-taxi sector.

By making these vehicles more affordable and accessible, the initiative encourages young people to take charge of their future and build successful careers.

Memon emphasized that the program is part of the Sindh government’s broader effort to create new job opportunities and promote economic independence. It is expected to have a positive impact on the youth of Sindh by reducing unemployment and providing an alternative source of income.

This e-taxi initiative also reflects the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability, as electric vehicles are more eco-friendly compared to traditional cars. The program is designed not only to offer jobs but also to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment for the people of Sindh.
