Sindh’s Transport Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, shared plans for the Karachi-Sukkur bullet train project during a meeting on the Yellow Line BRT project, which was attended by World Bank officials.

The provincial government is focused on improving transportation in the region, with the Karachi-Sukkur and Karachi-Hyderabad bullet train projects being key priorities. These initiatives will be developed in partnership with the World Bank to boost connectivity between major cities in Sindh.

In addition, Memon proposed the introduction of 300 electric buses in Karachi as part of the People Bus Service project. This plan is aimed at modernizing the city’s public transport system and reducing its environmental impact.

These efforts reflect the government’s commitment to creating a more efficient, sustainable, and accessible transportation network for Karachi’s residents and visitors. With these projects, the government hopes to improve the daily commute and make public transportation more convenient and eco-friendly for everyone.
