Spain has become an attractive destination for freelancers and remote workers from around the world, including Pakistan. With its digital nomad visa, professionals can live and work in Spain while enjoying its vibrant culture and modern infrastructure.

Who Can Apply?

The digital nomad visa is designed for individuals who work remotely for companies outside Spain or operate as freelancers. It is not meant for job seekers or students. Applicants must meet specific conditions to qualify.

Income Requirement for March 2025

To be eligible for Spain’s digital nomad visa, applicants must show a stable income. As of March 2025, Pakistani remote workers need to earn at least $2,750 per month to qualify. Those planning to move with their families must have a minimum monthly income of $3,750 to cover living expenses.

Other Eligibility Criteria

Apart from meeting the income requirement, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a non-European country (including Pakistan).
  • Work as a freelancer or be employed by a company outside Spain.
  • Have no criminal record in Spain or any other country in the last five years.
  • Obtain health insurance that is valid in Spain.
  • Prove their qualifications with a university degree or relevant work experience.
  • Show a work history that supports their application.
  • Freelancers must prove they have been working with an international client for at least three months.

Spain offers high-speed internet, co-working spaces, and a rich lifestyle, making it a preferred choice for digital nomads. With its welcoming policies and digital infrastructure, it continues to attract professionals from Pakistan and other countries.

For those looking to experience Spain while working remotely, meeting the visa requirements is the first step toward a new adventure.
