KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has reported a significant surge in revenue collection, with December 2025 figures showing a 25 percent increase compared to the same month last year.

According to the details issued by the SRB, the provincial tax authority collected Rs 34.006 billion during December 2025, up from Rs 27.149 billion in December 2024. This strong performance has contributed to a robust half-yearly growth trend, with the board collecting Rs 161.431 billion in the first six months of fiscal year 2025-26, compared to Rs 133.256 billion during the corresponding period of FY 2024-25, marking a 21 percent year-on-year increase.

Officials attributed the sustained revenue growth primarily to the dedication and hard work of SRB’s workforce, along with continued support from the government of Sindh and the cooperation of taxpayers across the province.

Looking ahead, the SRB team has expressed determination to maintain this upward trajectory throughout FY 2025-26. The board is preparing to meet new challenges, including the collection of Agricultural Income Tax and the introduction of a Negative List Tariff regime.

To support these objectives, the SRB plans to implement continued reforms, improve tax administration, strengthen enforcement mechanisms, and enhance the use of technology to ensure greater transparency and facilitate taxpayers.
