Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Friday, led by utility and industrials stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled 0.24% higher at 23,709.84 points.
Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company and Kerner Haus Global Solutions were the top percentage gainers on the index, both up 25% on the day.
Trading volume on the index slightly fell to 191,340,736 shares from 224,202,960 shares in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 8.5 billion rupees ($27.49 million) from 4.8 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 1.06 billion rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 8.44 billion rupees, the data showed.
