ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Amina Ahmed as Member (Tariff and Finance) of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) for a period of three years, effective from February 6, 2026, and until further orders.

Amina Ahmed, who represents Punjab, has recently completed her term as Member (Law) at Nepra.

Currently, the strength of the Nepra Authority remains incomplete, as two provinces—Sindh and Balochistan—do not have representation.

Member (Sindh) Rafique Ahmad Shaikh completed his term last month, while Member (Balochistan) Mathar Niaz Rana resigned from his position due to health issues and internal matters within Nepra.
