This year’s Wimbledon fashion has us yelling ‘love all’ louder than any umpire

From Andrew Garfield to Zendaya, these celebs aced Centre Court fashion

Wimbledon. Known not only as the oldest tennis tournament in history, but also the most fashionable. Every year outdoes the last as A-list attendees, and their stylists of course, go above and beyond when it comes to “courtside-chic”.

For a tournament that has dressed its ball boys in Polo Ralph Lauren since 2006, we should expect nothing less. While players themselves must adhere to the famous all-white dress code, guests usually pull a wild card (I’ll try to limit myself to this one tennis pun) and opt for bolder – and better – looks.

As Wimbledon called out “game, set, match” for the last time this summer on Sunday, it’s time to look back on some of the best-dressed celebrities, and let me tell you, the competition this year wasn’t limited to those perfectly manicured grass courts.

Men score big

Kicking things off is English actor Joe Alwyn. While the internet is abuzz over his first Wimbledon look which consisted of layers upon layers of navy, I’m more interested in his second outfit. Decked out head-to-toe in Bottega Veneta, Alwyn kept it simple yet stylish for his sophomore appearance at this year’s tournament. Sporting a relatively casual striped top with rolled-up sleeves and finishing the look with a classic Bottega messenger bag, he added just the right amount of oomph. Let’s be real—without that bag, he wouldn’t have even made the cut.

A Wimbledon frequenting Andrew Garfield absolutely nailed it in off-white trousers, a navy jacket, and just the right amount of colour with an orange shirt peeking out. If you dare to think his style isn’t flawless, allow me to swiftly guide you to the exit. Any slander against the best Spider-Man is strictly prohibited in these parts.

For a tournament that hasn’t seen that much orange on men, it’s strange that we’re seeing it twice already – with both looks being conversation-worthy. Sharl absolutely rocked the orange-on-orange look, one that would make most of us look like escaped convicts – but not him. The Ralph Lauren outfit was topped off with a navy polka-dotted neck scarf that added just the right touch. Apparently, understated accessories are doing the heavy lifting this year. You might be thinking: “Who is this Sharl you speak so highly of?” Well, I had the same question. Searching “Sharl” into Google is a futile effort. After some light sleuthing that took me to Ralph Lauren’s official Instagram, I discovered he’s a model.

Grand slam glam girls

Women’s fashion brought its A-game this year. Blazers were all the rage, as they are every year, but somehow this time, I found myself completely obsessed with a few of them. Enter Zendaya who sat courtside as if she really was her Challengers counterpart, Tashi, witnessing her two lovers battle it out for the Men’s title. Except those two “lovers” were Women’s Singles finalists Barbara Krejcikova and Jasmine Paolini. The actor opted for a lazy Ralph Lauren look with a blue shirt, loose tie and khaki blazer. She paired it with denim jeans, and while I’m not a fan of denim at Wimbledon, she pulled it off.
