TikTok recently revealed that it took action against over 20.2 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2024. These videos were removed for violating the platform’s community guidelines. Impressively, 93.9% of these videos were taken down within 24 hours of being flagged.

On a global scale, TikTok managed to address 99.8% of violations proactively, meaning they caught most issues before they were reported.

This shows TikTok’s strong commitment to maintaining a safe online environment for all users. The company emphasizes its dedication to transparency and inclusivity in these efforts.

In total, TikTok removed 166,997,307 videos worldwide during this period. Most of these removals were made possible by automated detection systems, which help identify and remove content that violates guidelines quickly and efficiently.

TikTok also took action against comments and accounts to keep the platform safe. The company used safety tools to delete 976,479,946 comments that violated community guidelines. Additionally, they removed 21,639,414 accounts suspected of belonging to underage users.
