Top Bangladeshi Military Official Visits Pakistan

Lieutenant General S M Kamr-ul-Hassan, the Principal Staff Officer of Bangladesh’s Armed Forces Division, is currently visiting Pakistan in what is being seen as a significant step toward strengthening relations between the two nations. This visit is considered rare and holds importance for fostering improved ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

During his trip, Lieutenant General Kamr-ul-Hassan held meetings with senior military leaders of Pakistan, including Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. These discussions covered key topics such as regional security, shared strategic interests, and opportunities to enhance military cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides highlighted the need to build a stronger defense relationship and expressed their commitment to working together to promote peace and stability in the South Asian region. This visit is being viewed as a positive step toward fostering mutual understanding and collaboration for the benefit of the region.
