Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his gratitude to former U.S. President Donald Trump for helping ease tensions between Pakistan and India.

During his visit to the Karachi Naval Dockyard, the Prime Minister spoke positively about Trump’s efforts in promoting peace in South Asia. He referred to the former U.S. president as “a man of peace” and appreciated his past role in encouraging dialogue between the two neighboring countries.

PM Shehbaz shared that Trump showed genuine interest in improving Pakistan-India relations and highlighted his supportive attitude during times of conflict. He even called Trump “a kind friend of Pakistan” and praised the way his administration worked to support regional stability.

One of the key moments the Prime Minister pointed out was Trump’s offer to mediate in the Kashmir dispute, which has long been a sensitive issue between Islamabad and New Delhi.

PM Shehbaz said that the offer, whether accepted or not, showed Trump’s sincerity and willingness to bring both countries to the table for peaceful discussions.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when regional peace continues to be an important goal. He stressed the need for ongoing dialogue and international cooperation to ensure a peaceful future for South Asia.

While relations between Pakistan and India remain tense, the Prime Minister’s message was clear: global leaders who take a stand for peace should be recognized and appreciated. He expressed hope that more steps will be taken both within the region and internationally to build trust and reduce conflict.
