Tunisian journalist Abdul Latif Al Zubaidi won the ‘Best Column Award’ for 2024, as part of the 23rd edition of Arab Media Award within the Arab Media Summit.
Al Zubaidi received the award on Tuesday at a dedicated ceremony held in the presence of Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al. Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.
After receiving the award, Al-Zubaidi told Al Khaleej: “There is no doubt that the great credit for winning this award goes to the 5,000 plus articles published in Al Khaleej newspaper under the title ‘Luzoom Mayalzam’ since the beginning of 2010.”
“I do not think that there is a person who is older than me in the newspaper because my relationship with the newspaper began when it used to be temporarily printed in the State of Kuwait in 1971.”
“This award is evidence of the greatness of the media and its concept in the UAE and reflects the UAE’s keenness on bringing together all voices from the Arab world as well as from the world at large. Thank you Al Khaleej,” he added.

Translation: The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has strongly condemned the suspension of advertisements for media TV and media Radio, following the earlier suspension for media Media Group’s newspapers. CPNE stated that media is among Pakistan’s most reputable media outlets, and imposing a ban on government advertisements is tantamount to economically weakening it.In this regard, the CPNE President and Secretary General said in a joint statement that media Media Group has provided impartial reporting in Pakistan since its inception. Initially, its newspapers were subjected to a ban on advertisements, and now the government has also deprived media Media Group’s electronic platforms of government advertisements. They demanded that the government immediately lift the ban on media Media Group’s advertisements.
