Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Pakistan on February 12, marking his first official trip since the new government took office in March 2024.
During his visit, he will co-chair the 7th session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on February 13. This council, established in 2009, is a key platform for both countries to discuss and strengthen their bilateral relationship.
The upcoming session will focus on boosting cooperation in important areas such as defense, security, trade, economic development, and cultural exchange. Leaders from both sides aim to explore opportunities to deepen their partnership and address shared challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a Joint Declaration will be issued, outlining the key outcomes and future plans of the collaboration. This document is eagerly awaited as it will highlight the shared vision of the two nations for their partnership.
Previous sessions of the HLSCC have been hosted alternately in Islamabad and Ankara, reflecting the strong commitment of both countries to strengthening ties. Erdogan’s visit is expected to further solidify the historic bond between Pakistan and Turkey, paving the way for enhanced collaboration across multiple sectors.
