Gulf Today Report
The UAE is following with great concern the media reports regarding the incident involving the Iranian President and his entourage.
The UAE has confirmed that it is following with great concern what is being circulated in the media regarding the unfortunate accident that occurred with the helicopter that was carrying Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a number of officials.
In a statement, Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed his wish that the search and rescue operations would be crowned with success and that God protect the Iranian President, his Foreign Minister and their entourage, noting the UAE’s support and solidarity with the neighbouring Iranian people in these critical circumstances.
He stressed that the embassy received instructions and directives from the wise leadership to provide assistance to sisterly Iran, and is fully prepared to provide what is possible to support search and rescue operations.
