The UAE Fuel Price Follow-Up Committee has released petrol and diesel prices for January 2023. It announced that Super 98 petrol will cost Dh2.78 a litre in January, a further decrease from December’s price of Dhs3.30 per litre.
Meanwhile, Special 95 petrol will cost Dh2.67 per litre, compared to Dh3.18 in December.
In January, diesel will cost Dh3.29 a litre compared to Dh3.74 in December, while E-Plus 91 petrol will cost Dh2.59 a litre, compared to Dh3.11 a litre in December, the committee announced.

The UAE’s Ministry of Energy first began setting petrol prices based on average global prices in August 2015. Prior to that, the price of petrol in the UAE was subsidised by the government, which shielded consumers from global fluctuations in the cost of petrol.
